 In a ceremony held in the conference room of the judges on Saturday night (6), Brett Kavanaugh has officially become a member of the United States Supreme Court. The judge took office a few hours after his appointment confirmed by the Senate, by 50 votes in favor, 48 against and one abstention.
 Kavanaugh took the oath accompanied by his wife, Ashley, who held the Bible used in the procedure, and the couple's daughters, Margaret and Liza. The appointment was led by Chief Justice John Roberts, leader of the Supreme Court and owner of the highest legal position in the country.
 Even after confirmation by the Senate, protests against the appointment of Kavanaugh, who was accused by three women of sexual assault, continued in Washington. Protesters left the Senate and went to the headquarters of the Supreme Court, where they came to occupy the staircase of the building.
 Shortly after the announcement of the result of the vote in the Senate that approved the appointment di juiz, the president celebrated in a post on Twitter:
