The huge success of Aquaman in the United States and the rest of the world has transformed the superhero that once was a mockery of a real money-making machine, reaching $ 1.09 billion at the box office and becoming the biggest movie ever of DC Comics.
The brand was hit this weekend. As a result, the film starring Jason Momoa surpasses Batman: The Dark Knight Ressurge, the last film in the Christopher Nolan trilogy that grossed $ 1.08 worldwide.

Despite being a hit, Aquaman is "only" the seventh comic adaptation to the most profitable movie theater in history. The top six on the list are occupied by Marvel movies.
