US President Donald Trump will sign a decree next week banning US network operators from acquiring products from Chinese companies, Politico said. The information was confirmed to the site by three sources close to the US agent and the plan is for the measure to take effect before MWC 2019, which takes place February 25-29 in Barcelona, Spain.
This is yet another episode of the trade war between the United States and China and is expected to hit ZTE and Huawei companies, which have been having problems with the Trump administration for some time. The president of the United States accuses both companies of compromising the national security of the country and of collaborating with espionage of the Chinese government.
